Hello there, I'm Sharon - it's so lovely to meet you!
As a female leader I’ve so many successes in my professional life, but latterly I was internally misaligned to my values.
I had reached career heights I never imagined I would, and was extremely proud of my career in education, but something was missing for me. As a leader in what was a very female dominated world, I was surprised to see the power tripping of some female colleagues, and how there was an expectation to be ‘hard’ edged and compassionless with colleagues in order to achieve and be seen as successful. The more of a hard-edge the better.
This approach was so alien to me, and everything jarred as I was not aligned to my values. I couldn’t build trusting working relationships with those colleagues, and I really struggled to get up in the morning and enjoy going to my work.
I’m now on a mission to change that for other female leaders.
Hi! I’m Sharon Smith.
I’m an NCIP Professionally Accredited Performance Coach with NLP. I’m in my fifties and have worked most of my professional life in the Scottish education system.
Coaching was the catalyst that changed my life. It allowed me the headspace to consider how I was leading my life, what was going on for me, and what I wanted to do to change that for the better.
And, it’s here I find myself today! Coaching female leaders to lead fully aligned to their authentic selves.
So, let’s ditch the hustle, and the expectation of being like others that completely exhausts us, and lead with our feminine energy, from a place of empathy, intuition, collaboration, and true authenticity, and bring the best out of people in the way we know how.

Working with Organisations
Throughout my career as a teacher, I’ve led endless amounts of professional development sessions as:
• Depute Headteacher and an Acting Headteacher, leading INSET sessions with my team
• A Probationer Teacher Manager, for cohorts of new teachers in a local authority
• A Senior Education Officer for the General Teaching Council for Scotland, where I led on professional review and development and aspects of professional learning
• A Quality Improvement Officer for Professional Learning and Leadership for a local authority supporting senior leadership development.
I have an extensive skillset in the learning and development of middle and senior leadership, and bring opportunities to organisations to develop their own leaders and teams using my own expertise, and with a personal approach that allows participants to feel seen, heard and valued.
Your people are your greatest asset, and putting their wellbeing and professional development at the heart of your organisation is the key way to retaining those employees. Doing that in a manner that sustains and nurtures is key to that approach, and that’s where I come in.
